Default Question about breathers....

I have a 2002 Fatboy and have heard that stock bikes can't breathe enough. So I'm thinking about installing a less restrictive air cleaner, but will I have to re-map my bike? Btw, the bike is EFI and already has V&H Longshot pipes. Thanks

Yes. You will need to have the mapping tweeked and I'd recommend either a SE heavy breather or a Ness Big Sucker for the intake. It will make a big difference and you will be happy you made the change.

Generally speaking, it is recommended that if you change out pipes and the air intake you should also use some type of fuel management system for optimal performance.

I swapped my air for screaming eagle air with Vance & Hines straight shots. Had it mapped etc and the increased air flow upped the rmp enough to make me giggle.
