Exactly monkyman that's why I watch it. I just happened to remember they did that piece on Kuryakyn.

The only Kuryakyn parts I have on my bike right now are the ISO grips which are awesome.
Right now I'm watching a few Kuryakyn accessories on Ebay. [sm=bangbang.gif]
Neither HD or Kutyakyn stuff is cheep but I don't mind paying more for quality.

Can anyone confirm where the Kuryakyn products are made?
USA or offshore?
Thanks.

I have had problems with HD chrome starting on 1996 EGC. Having problems now on 07 EGC. This time it seems to be the lighter pieces, chrome rails around bags.

I believe Kury makes some here and other offshore. I know HD gets a lot of their bling from overseas so when you say that HD has quality part, it's comming from overseas. I have no doubt they all do good work, it's just what does the company demand as far as quality.
Next time your at the HD dealership, look at where all the bling is made. I've seen quiet a bit from China.
I don't have much Kury on my bike, but I wouldn't be affraid of it from what I've heard.
Just my opion.

hd in york, pa doesn’t do it’s own chroming anymore ? I remember (it was some years ago) they did it right there, I know it was for the parts going on the bikes on the line, can’t speak for the stuff on the wall.
Always had good luck with hd chrome (things on the bike when new) can’t speak for all the stuff on the wall of goodies.

i hate to do it, but i have to go with kuryakyn. i have a twin velocity a/c, iso grips, signal relocation kit, and a few other kury parts.. no problems at all. i have had the riser cover, primary cover and one rocker cover replaced under warranty. h-d did not offer any hassle, and in fact the tech refused the first part the factory sent on the riser. he said it was worse than the first one. i still look at harley parts first, then go look at aftermarket stuff. i usually buy aftermarket for price and quality. i also like the fact that i never see an identical sportster anywhere i go.

I have not been impressed by either's chrome. My Kury switchblades were good but the hypercharger in wrinkle black had some problems. The chromestarted flaking off the butterflys and the black powdercoat started to peel with a little corrosion going under it.
They make just about all they're stuff OTH and so does HD.
OTH = Other Than Here
