Yep. Might be a good project bike...at less than half that price.

There's a guy around here who has a 1939 knucklehead painted John Deere colors.

That has to be the ugliest sportster I have ever seen!!! Then again I can't stand John Deere. Will be working on one of their worthless tractors here in a few minutes.

Actually, I don't think it's too horrible. It just looks unfinished.

I think Massey-Harris red and yellow would have been the better choice.

Having been in the AG business all my life I have found JD folks will buy a dog turd if you paint it green/yellow and put on a deer. Just like a lot of HD folks will buy the same dog turd if it is painted black/orange and has the bar and shield.

1200cc Sportster less than 25years old for under $5000 is almost unheard of around here.
This one is in one piece and doesn't look too chopped up or beat on. That would be a pretty good deal around here. If you don't like the colors repaint it.
