Default Metzler ME 880 review...

I just put these on this afternoon, and have ridden home from the shop and around a little, and let me tell you, the difference is astounding. Since the tire is a softer compound, there are no bumps in the road anymore, and let me tell you I used to feel a lot of them. The fact that the tires are rounder and have a shorter sidewall have the bike falling into corners like it was a crotch rocket, and they stick to the road as well. The stock dunlops will never be put on my bike again. Since the metzlers tread pattern doesnt have any tread that runs concurrent with the rain grooves on the freeway, I can finally sit back and relax. I can't believe I didn't do this a long time ago. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone who needs new tires. Well worth the extra expense, and I hear dunlop is on strike anyway. Even if you don't find anything wrong with dunlops, give em a try and see what you think. It is night and day...

Yep, gots to agree. They are 100% better than the Lops. Same experience on my RKC and Sporty.

Thanks for the info Anubisss! I'm going to need tires soon. I guess you decided to stay with the solid rims?

I just put a set on my '06 Heritage Classic. Great performance, but a little squirmy for the first 100 miles or so.

Best online price for the set in my size: $200 for a pair of blackwalls, $235 for whitewalls at ronayers.com.

The price was $265 for the tires. I could order online and save, but they would charge more to put em on at the shop then. Now I have to figure out what todo with the d404 I have ordered online.
