There is an add at the top of this forum, with the HD logo on it, stating "Rooms are going fast,get yours today". It is for Daytona bike week.I looked it up and they have 3 hotels on the list.
For a 4 night minimum stay, for each of the hotels, in order of expense, it cost: $1008,$1058 and $1208. That is for 2 people. They charge by the person, so it will not save anything by adding more people.
If I was going, I would try and find a place to stay about an hour an a half away. It would save you several hundred dollars and you will get some quality ride time in.

If you stay that far away, you have to deal with way too much traffic. Prices will still be high as hell. I agree with HDWG. Last yearwas my last trip to Daytona unless I win a lottery.

 

I do not know how our friends found that room for $600 for the week?? But, they have asked us to go...and we are up and down with it. I mean splitting the gas $$ and room $$ we could do it for about $1000....bring booze, and do what we can to eat cheaply. But, I am looking through J&P and I can find alot to spend $1000 for the bikes!!

 

We stay in Mt. Dora. It's about 55 miles west of Daytona, and it's a nice ride over there. Get there on Friday, hit Daytona on Saturday morning and come back to Mt. Dora on Saturday night. One day of bike week is pretty much enough for me, but then again we only come over from Clearwater, not out of state. Room is only $90 a night at the Hampton Inn. Of course, since we have to ride 55 miles back, that precludes a whole lot of drinking. We just wait til we get back to Mt. Dora for that.

 

spend the money on your rides HDWG. Too much traffic when you go anywhere. Too much money for everything that's there.

 

Try the abate campground. 8 bux a night, I think. Showers, always a party.

Rallies seem to be alot of fun, but I am not sure the money required for hotel, food, and any junk you buy really worth it.

 

It is not really a rally....it is more like a huge expensive week long bike show. I am good with all the little rallies....cheap...and more of a party

 

You are better off renting a house. For the past few years, we have rented a house with 4 beds and a monther-in-law apartment with 2 beds. Both have plenty of room. 8 stay in the house. 4 stay in the apartment. We pay 1300 for the house and 685 for the apartment. It is about a 20 minute walk to Main Street or the HD shop on Beach Street.
