Ya pick up some good tips here on the forum, I read somewhere on here that if you put your kick stand down on the magnetic strip at a red light......it will trip the light sensor and recognize a motorcycle, light will change and you'll be on your way..........Tried it yesterday and it worked like a charm.......Thanks,whoever posted the idea
I've been sitting at lights waiting for a car to show up for a long time,Not anymore

Putting the kickstand down would assume your placing weight on the proper area to trip the light. It is magnetic and weight has nothing to do with it. Had you not put your kickstand down, the light still would have changed.

The correct way to make sure the magnetic sensor has a shot a knowing you're there is to place your bike directly over the left or right edge of the sensor, with your front tire just past the front corner of the sensor. That puts your engine and frame right over the corner (i.e. large amounts of metal which effect the magnetic field)

I bought a device that stinks to the bottom of the bike and it trips the light sensors. Guy told me it has a magnetic field similar to a car. AnywAY, once I put that on the bike I never have had an issue since.

I don't want anything on my bike that stinks! I hate competition.

Yep, me too. If I look down and see those metal strips in the asphalt then I just naturally assume that this light will not change, so I look both ways and blow on through.

Unfortunately, the light sensor that gives me the most trouble is right outside the State Trooper barracks.

And NC has a law to allow Bikers the right to run it. Problem is you have to wait like 2 full minutes before proceeding.

I don't have that kind of patience, so I just look both ways and bye, bye.
