Header Pipe Question

Header Pipe Question
I Have a 07 King with vance and hines slipons. At one of the vendors at bike week and it was suggested that I change out the stock headers and would be better flow and cooler since they are coated on the inside.
Is it worth it to change out the head pipes? Would I get any preformance increase or change in sound?
I have a hi-flo air filter, Cobra 2000 auto tune and vance and hines baffles with the fiberglass removed from the baffles.
Thanks

Change it out to which pipes?
True Duals you will lose a little bit of low end torque.
2 into 1 you will gain a little bit of torque.
I have never really had an issue with heat on my 88" bike with stock head pipes have you?
Sounds like he is just wanting to make a sale if you aren't looking for a change.
Some people love the sound of true duals and don't mind the small loss of power. I've never had them so I guess I can't say.

Pipes coated inside and out run cooler, so there's that. And you'll make some great power gains by ridding your bike of the stock headers and 'Y' pipe.
What very little low rpm power loss there might be won't be noticed particularly when compared it to the gain you're going to get.
Go for either the coated headers or a FulSac conversion. 'You're gonna like the way your bike runs....I guarantee it.'

I agree with Leftcoaster (even though I think he's watching too many 3-Day Suit Broker commercials ). I changed out my stock headpipes on my '07 Ultra to V&H True Duals then put my Rinehart slip-ons back over 'em. Very happy with the performance. Oh and the sound is much improved too!!
