RE: Are you happy with your Harley decision?
I thought I made a HUGE mistake spending the cash I did for my Phatail.
I hated the bike the 1st 500miles. after 1000 miles I was beginning to accept it
for what it is.
I'm still in love with my Ninja, but the Phatail is giving her some competetion now days.

VERY uneasy about having boughtit for a long time....it was alot of money for me to shell out. I was able to buy it outright, with cash. A Superglide was not what I really wanted at the time, but bought it becasue I was given a great deal....never cared for the narrow glide front end, only 28 degrees of rakeand 19" front wheel, but figured I could correct these deficiencies over time, which I am doing slowly.... (AME 14 and 6 chopper kit)
NOW, very happy with my purchase. I know from my experience that there are alot of folks out there that want one, but the price scares them off!
If you gonna get one, get the one you REALLY want. If you change later, you really take a hit on depreciation.

100% happy. If I had not switched to HD from Japanese 'supersports' machines, I would have probably done myself some serious damage, riding at a ridiculously illegal speed. I get to where I'm going feeling relaxed and calm now, something that never happened whilst riding 'performance' machines.

Yes! I am the first person in my family ( besides my grandfather when he was a young man in the early 1900's) to learn how to ride a motorcycle . For me, the decision to purchase a Harley Davidson was a no brainer (following the wifes O.K.)because when I thought of what a motorcycle should look and sound like, I thought Harley Davidson. I ride my '06 Heritage Softail Classic practically everyday and have 14,000 miles + and have enjoyed every single moment.
