Thank you for taken the time and trouble not only to explain but also for the pics some people like the extra information ...... Still the best color by far is the Red as a solid it just works i think the Green and Blue need another color to bring them out .......

As another poster pointed out in the Dyna forum; the blue is Big Blue Pearl - not a 'Hard Candy' metal flake, but it is still metal flake.

I have some closer up shots of the blue, but they sorta suck. LOL I can post them later. There are probably some pretty sharp pics in the bunch - just a funky angle of the tanks. I prefered the tank angle shots that I posted.

Kind of how I feel about the new paint, though that deep blue is very nice.

Like I said before the metal flake looks like something my kid did with a glue stick and a bottle of glitter. Looks like crap.

I can understand the Moco wanting to appeal to a younger audience but come on, pre schoolers?

Thanks for, sharing the pics. I went to my local dealer this week and they didn't have any new colors.

Personally I like the metal flake colors. But I probably wouldn't get one because I think I'd grow sick of it after a few years.

Hah! Funny sh*t!

Saw a bunch of those color schemes at the Milwaukee Rally museum bike night. Moco brought em all out. I thought some were pretty cool, but not for me. I think people that get them will wish they had a solid color after a few years.

These were the closer up shots of the blue – not quite as close as the others, but closer. I just got this new camera. I sold my Canon G12 to get this one with the much larger sensor and I’m still experimenting with the much greater detail that it offers. I just noticed that the ‘RAW’ files of these shots show a noticeably better depiction of the metal flake of these blue bike shots in the sunlight.

I compressed this with the Canon DPP software with the default settings from the RAW file – which creates a 9.3 meg file from a 19.3 meg original RAW file if that might be considered a relevant reference.

If anything; you might derive from all my ranting that the metal flake has some very unique detail to it that might not be everyone’s personal taste, but is interesting to give a looksee.

The in camera jpeg of that same shot:

If you go to the Flickr site and do the light box view switching between these two versions of the same picture you can see what I’m talking about if your monitor can display the fine details.

I like the new colors but it seems HD is always a couple of years behind the trends and the average HD rider is rolling around with something "new" from the MoCo that was popular is the custom scene 3 years ago.
