I got my 4yr old boy a '01 pw50 Friday, He sayes " Dad it is not a Harley"After I explain to him that he can get a Harley when he is alittle older he was ok with it. Man, to ride dirt bikes with my little boy was a dream that I have always had. Maybe in the furture we can go faster than 8mph (yeah I got it turned way down)

 

He'll grow into it and it will give you a chance to get a dirtbike.

I got quads for both of my daughters and I love spending Sundays trail riding with them. (XR250 for me)

 

Enjoy it while you can! My son started on a 50 and went to the nationals on a crf450r. Man I miss it!

 

Great for you kingultra....that first trail ride with your boy is an experience you'll never forget..

my son started last yr on a PW50.....somehow the throttle limiter "disappeared" on a woods ride. Yeah, right. ....you'd be surprised how fast they learn. We'd blast around weekends upstate (It175 for me) and we BOTHhad the best summer.

At the bike show he was already sizing the bigger ones...he "figures" he's ready for the KX/YZ series....I think we'll do another yr of enduro bike tho....it only goes up from there but thats a GOOD thing!

 

Give your boy a handful of Harley stickers and let him have at it on his pw50...

 

The PW-50 is an excellent starter bike. When my daughter was 5 we bought one and built a custom sidecar for it. Trailered it behind my bike on a custom built miniture carhaulerand showed them togather. She was the center of attention ever where we went. She rode it until she was 10 and the last time she rode it was at Dolly's parade in Pigeon Forge. Man the memories we have. Now she has a 750 Shadow and wants a Fatboy. Different toys with higher price tags.
