I have a 2012 Heritage and am going to be getting a Vista Cruise Universal Cruise Control this weekend. Most of the reviews I've read said the installation instructions suck. A few did say they had no problems, but those are very infrequent.

Does anyone here who has installed one have any pointers, or better step-by-step instructions...or even a link to one? I can't seem to find any. If no, I'll still buy one and muddle through it.

Eventually, I'd like an actual cruise control, but they're outside my price range at the moment and I'll be making an 800+ mile ride at the end of Sept.

Get the one specific for Harley Davidson (because the switch housings are different from metrics).
I don't remember much about the installation instructions, if I ever even looked at them. Installation is simple on a scale of 1-10 I'd rate it a 2. Seeing one that is already installed might make it easier.
