Odd motorcyclist fatality

I noticed the bike had applied brakes before crossing the double yellow line on the righthand corner. What is that about? I would stick my neck out and offer a couple of scenarios, but won't. Instead I'll just offer sincere condolences to all involved.

apparently, they've gone back and edited the content. the story now only says that he attempted to pass a truck as it was turning left. nothing about sitting at a stop sign.

as far as the mentioning helmets thing goes, they always do that. just like in a car accident they always mention whether or not they were using seat belts.

Here's another incident except the driver that caused this accident was making a U-turn in the middle of a two-way highway marked at 60 mph. WTH?
