I have to agree with "the mouth". I don't like the studs and fringe but it looks comfy as hell. I would really like to get a "pillow top" seat

Nice looking seat...but it looks a bit out of place to me on that bike.

A couple of weeks ago, I got my Russell Day Long seat.

Both my wife and I love it.

They need pictures of you and your S/O sitting on the bike plus your height/weight info. Then they build a seat specifically for your needs.

The base price was $605 for my Road King, but I paid an extra $90 for the heavyweight package since my wife and I are both kinda, uh, robust.

:-)

They said it would take a 500-1000 mile break in, but right out of the box it was the most comfortable seat I've ever been on. The one I took off was a Tall Boy pillow top.

Went on a couple of hundred mile ride Wednesday and I had none of my previous butt issues.

Le Pera seats ROCK! Everything from hard as a brick (like mine) to soft as a sofa. That seat looks really comfy! I'm not a studs and frills kinda guy, but if you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

O.K. I'm freaking out a bit here. Seriously, I am WAY, WAY out of touch. $721 for a SEAT!! and thats GOOD? Thats more than I paid for my first two bikes combined! I am really bummed when I hear about things like this that at first think are a joke but then find out no... its just because I am old and poor and do not understand how things work anymore!

Oh... REAL nice seat.

Funny enough I don't like studs. But you wouldn't know it by looking at my bike. When I got the Sporty it came with the saddlebags that had studs. I like using the saddlebags and they have a lot of space in them. Just last weekend I swaped my Sundowner with the Mustang that's in my sig pic. It's much more comfortable than the Sundowner and it was and even swap with a fellow rider I met.

I ended up with a bike with tons of studs. Oh well, such is life. Function and my comfort are more important to me. I may get around to painting them black, but for now I'll leave them be.

As for the OP's seat, if he likes it, that's all that matters.

Heh. Welcome to the 21st century Tex (Van Winkle?). My first bike was a tad more than that back in '88. I paid right around 4 bills for the seat on my current ride. Custom seats don't come cheap and to be fair, that is a seat AND passenger pillion plus, they are entirely leather, I believe...
