Ever not feel right on some days?
I have been riding the new bike at least once a day ever since I got it a few weeks ago. Have been riding only since the spring. Lot of practicing with slow speed manuevres and braking in the parking lot.
Got on the bike today and just did not feel right. Nothing clicked. It was like I was new again. I felt jittery, uncomfortable with slow turns, cautious, etc. I was worying more about messing up than just riding. I ddin't ride long as I started getting bad vibes or something like maybe I shouldnt be riding this thing today.
Very weird because I have never had this happen before. Just had one of the best riding weekens since I started riding. Highway, parks , and a trip to a relative. It's not like I was having trouble with the skills I have accumulated to this point. I just felt like I was jittery or nervous--cars passing me on the opposite road, etc were getting too much attention from me-- and it was messing up my concentration.

Well, I definitely got that feeling. haven't dropped a bike or had any incidents since I started riding. I don't know if its because I had a craptastic day at work but I kept thinking negative, like this is your day.

This is a normal sensation....happens from time to time, and everyone experiences this once in awhile. My best advice to you is when you have one of these days, park the bike asap and leave it for another day. I've been riding 47 years now, and this is one of the first things I was taught...I have always paid attention to this sensation. I have seen many times over the years when somebody was having this sense of "something's not right;" and they kept riding, and it didn't end well.....pay attention to your senses....if it doesn't seem right somehow...leave it parked!

I had the same policy in my trucking business years ago-----------I call it the feeling of impending doom.I truly think that people get it no matter if they are walking in to flip burgers or if they are in a top fuel drag car

Off days are why god made cars I thought . Don't sweat it everybody has them sooner or later don't let blow hards tell you different . Doesn't feel right go with your gut , it's hurt everytime I've ignored mine .

Lots of different things can cause it... a slight head cold, ear infection, too much caffeine, not enough caffeine, too much to drink the night before or just plain and simply the inability to focus and get in the groove.
As others have already suggested, if you have the option of turning around and heading for home, that's never a bad idea.
I commute to work by bike just about every day, even in some of the worst weather conditions and don't think twice about it. But I won't ride if I have any kind of head cold, balance issues or am taking meds that could mess with my balance or focus.
