I just pulled em off my 2010 Limited with my fingers, no dental floss, fishing line, or heat guns needed.

While you are at it --- peel your reflectors as well (if you still have them)

I bought dental floss to remove my tank badges, ice hockey skate laces to clean my spokes and Lemon Pledge to clean and shine my bike. I can't skate, my teeth are bad and my furniture looks like ****. But... my bike looks purty.

Best way is to wiggle them off with your fingers. Just take your time. No need for hair dryers, floss, fishing line, etc, etc. Clean up the residue with WD40. If you have a denim scooter, you might want to remove the the badges before the paint has a chance to fade a little.

Use any method you like to take the badges/reflectors off (fishing line works best for me) but be really careful taking off the glue residue. I wouldn't use the goo-gone or goof off myself...wd40 or charcoal lighter would be a safer bet.

I went on the factory tour this summer in Kansas City and the girl giving the tour said that the clear coat they use on the Vrod is not a laquer, it is a powder coat...probably not nearly as hard but a whole lot cheaper to apply.
