Default Rear Wheel not centered

I have a 2012 Softail and my rear wheel is not centered with the fender. On the left side I can slide a finger between the fender and the tire and both touch my finger. On the right side I have about an inch more room between the tire and the fender. Can anything be done to correct this? Is this problem normal?

Its normal, A few years ago I thought the same thing a few days before a trip. But the bike tracked straight and true. Its offset I think because of your pulley. When I noticed mine I started looking at the wheels on every bike I seen.

It's normal ...The next time you are at a Harley dealership check some of them out on the floor.

Yeah I think I read a couple years ago that it was to get the tranny, pulley and all that lined up without completely screwing up the weight distro left to right and such. Don't quote me on that as I can't remember where I read it or if it's even 100% true.

I noticed it on my Fatboy, so I went up to the dealer & looked at every Softail on the floor. Some had more space on the left, some more on the right, but none were centered. Prolly OK.

Funny this post came up. I just noticed it on mine a couple days ago. Less space on left side.

For a while, I thought the previous owner had wrecked the bike before I bought it from him because of that. Checked a few more bikes a little more closely and they were all about the same.
