06 Ultra Classic
Greetings! I am a new member to the forum and new Harley owner. I drove my new 06 Ultra Classic home last Thursday. My first question. Has anyone purchased the new bluetooth module (for interfacing your bluetooth cell phone) or know of anyone that has? I'd like to find out how well it actually works before I shell out the $500 buck plus installation. Any feedback would be greatly apprecated.

RE: 06 Ultra Classic
Never heard of this...got any more info? I'll do a search in a little bit and read up on it...I'm guessing here, but does it push the cell phone through the speakers? or a helmet module?

RE: 06 Ultra Classic
I raised this question a few months back and Ryan (Moderator - "Love to Ride") said that yes he had tried it and it didn't work very well at speed.
IMHO. it depends. W/out a helmet...very very difficult. With a full face helmet, perhaps very possible, but I wonder how uncomfortable the ear piece would be inside a helmet. They are not as small as ear buds. You might have to cut away some of the lining of the helmet and then I would question whether or not I compromised the integrity of the helmet.
Like others, I ride my bike to get away. My former positiion demanded that I be available, but now I have more freedom. I just check my cell after I get off of the bike. If I was taking a long trip, I might need to re-think having my phone available at all times, but I still think that I would just check it when I bought gas.
I would suggest that you PM Love to Ride and ask Ryan re: his experiences.
As much as I hate to admit it, there may come a time when I will have to have my cell phone available or not be able to ride, so please keep us posted on what you find out and what you decide to do. Art
