I personally like to wave to scooter riders (especially those on a Ruckus). They probably never get waved to and that makes me sad.

What a bunch of BS. I don't wave, but I'll stop if somebody needs help on the side of the road. What's wrong with you? I wave at kids on the side of the road, or pedestrians who wave --- just not every flippin' bike on the road who thinks that we have some kind of bond, or something. Some of you people need to get over yourselves, and enjoy the rest of your ride, and quit taking this waving so seriously. Just because somebody doesn't wave at every single bike that passes you, doesn't mean they wouldn't help you out if you needed it. Your bike has 2 wheels, just like mine. Your car has 4 wheels, just like mine. Does it **** you off when somebody doesn't wave to you in your car? "Oh boo hoo hoo, that guy didn't wave back. The rest of my day has been ruined." Jesus, get over it.

Yeah let's have admin write a script that will automatically delete any thread with the word "wave". You'd think that after 513 posts, the starter of this thread would have a clue. What a ****ing jackwagon.

im pretty sick of it and wish it would stop. I dont wave unless its initiated by the other rider. I have people waving to me when i am in the middle of a turn and even when there is a large grassy median.

I'll tack this on here even though it's a frivolous topic - on every motorcycle forum in the US.
It is folk lore on many other motorcycle forums that at one point HD officially promoted not waving to other motorcycles unless they were Harleys.
HD is a powerful marketing machine and I don't go out much but I find this really hard to believe. Is there any evidence that this was true, ever?
