Default Wheeldock EZUP centerstand..dissappointing customer service.

Have the EZ UP centerstand and really like it as it saves me room when parked and allows me to clean/wax the wheels without moving the bike. And have given my "thumbs up" to many here on this forum and to others in person on this product. BUT now the other part!!
Last week I went to wash the bike and wanted to do the wheels also so I put my piece of 7/16 OSB under the stand to get the rear wheel up off the ground. As I pushed on the lever and pulled up on the saddlebag guard, things just werent going as usual. After several tries, I looked under the bike to see what was the problem. Well I found that the foot lever was bent towards the ground, stopping the bike from being lifted. As the stand has a "lifetime" warranty, I thought no problem. Wheeldock will fix me up. WRONG!!!!
Calling Wheeldock and relating the story, I was promptly told that if it didnt involve a broken weld.....no warranty. And that I abused or improperly used the stand. Despite pleading my case, I was informed I would have to pay 40 bucks plus shipping both ways to have it repaired. SO GUYS....be ever so careful in using you stand. How to be careful, I cant tell ya, as I used it just as I was instructed by Wheeldock folks. Just passing my story.

That sucks - I have one - only a few months old but I use it all the time - Took me a little getting use to on some surfaces but now I can just pop it right up - love it - I always try to park on a slight up hill parking spot - helps for the bike to roll up on the center stand. I read were the guy was gold to work with - O-Well - - - in this day of the internet word spreads fast - this isn't a cheap mod either.

The problem DID NOT involve the weld!

Correct.....weld didn't fail. The metal foot lever bent as I tried to set the bike up

Sounds to me like the company failed after the product did.
