Wheeldock EZUP centerstand..dissappointing customer service.

I'd pay the $40 plus shipping and be done with it all. Just not worth the aggravation for that little bit of money unless you don't like what the product does when it is working correctly. Life is short and everything for a Harley is at least $100 or more. Your already ahead of the game.
If it does it again I would be done with the product.

It's a great product - If mine ever broke I would pay the man to fix it or repair it myself - Honda & BMW Touring bikes come standard with a center stand - Why the hell can't HD! HD installs a cheap *** jiffy stand; of coarse if Harley had a center stand it would be an option. Just like the extension for the side stand.

Looking at the product, the kick lever seems to be a little small in diameter to me to withstand a constant standing and pushing on it. If it was me, I'd take it to a metal shop and have them cut off the smaller rod and weld on a larger diameter rod and maybe a beefier gusset.

Yeah - don't ever take "NO" from the president of the company -

Instead of getting a bad rep they should of said I get one shipped out tomarow get the old one back to me and let me see what has happen. Unless they are getting a lot of them back. They could have gotten a bad batch of bar stock from a supplier. I am in the hvac business for years and the past few we have gotten bad batches of copper line sets for a/c. Also black gas pipe that everytime we tried to thread it the threads would rip. Had the pipe tested and the found it was bad. And that is what I have to say about that,

Two scenarios
If it was my company and my product, and it was the first time this has happened, I would want to see it, Personally, I would pay to have it shipped to me for inspection.....just to see if I need to make that part better.
With that said, I would go ahead and send out a replacement just for good will. I would chock the cost of shipping and the product up as R&D just in case it was a product issue. If it was clearly the fault of the OP, Then so be it as far as this one incident goes. That is the cost of doing business and in the scheme of things is very minimal cost and a one time event so it can be inspected.
Now, If this happened to me, and I got the response from the manufacturer the OP did, I would just pay the 40 bucks and before installed it, I would find some steel or "gussets" to reinforce it and weld it up.....but I have a welder and can do that kind of stuff.
Just my 2cents

I love mine, and have been asked by several people about it, and I have sent them to Wheeldock to get one. (Glad to hear that putting wood underneath it isn't a good idea, before I actually tried to do that.)
However......charging the guy to fix it just doesn't sit well with me, and WILL cause me to think twice before giving any mroe recommendations.
In short....I don't like "cheap skate" businesses.

Like any other company out there if they can prove that your modification caused the malfunction the warrant is void. That isn't me stating it it's the law. Yes I appreciate the fact that is "just" a piece of wood however by using that piece of the changed the amount of force required to use the stand.
Yes I have one and have not had any problems since I bought it 3 years back.
Like everyone else here that's JMHO.
