Default Scratches?

I received my 2012 FXDWG two weeks ago and notice scratches in the clear coat on the vivid black portion of my tank. I have washed the bike once lightly with a microfiber hand mitt and soap. However, in certain sunlight angles, I see what appears to be light abrasions in the paint. Is this normal? Nothing ever touches these parts of the bike while I ride.

It's near impossible to prevent light scratches. Black tends to show them easier than lighter colors

Yep, thats black. You almost need to wax every time you wash it. Car or bike, black looks cool but it's a lot of work.

Invest in a random orbital poslisher like the Porter Cable 7424 or 7336. Get a nice pad set and some good swirl remover, polish and protectant. You'll probably spend $200-250, but it will last a long time because there isn't that much paint to buff on a bike....

Quick take pictures of it NOW.

Wait for it to be 2 months old over there in Korea and see how it looks then...
