Excellent story and Blog entry Mike, good for you for stopping.

And you're right.. Anytime here on the side of 95, you're lucky to be alive. Heck, at that time in the afternoon with all the corporate folks rushing to get back to work from their overly long lunch break - you're lucky to make it back alive even if you're not broke down.

Monday was a federal holiday too - so I'm not suprised you weren't able to find immediate repairs. Still man, good work.

Thanks! The guy asked me how much he owed me for the help. I told him a handshake was enough. I was happy making the deposit into my kharma account. I always like a positive balance. Kharma debt is bad!

They hadn't quite made it to Jacksonville yet. They were broke down south of marker 373 on I-95 south. If they would've gone any further, they would have been in one hell of a mess. I was happy I pulled up on them and they were alive! Blowing out at 80 mph is squirly no matter where it happens!

See ya on the road.

Good work. The only meaningful act of kindness is one which costs you something.
Love your neighbor as yourself.

Karma is a very good thing. I'm glad those folks were ok and that you stopped and offered your assistance. Being broke down on the side of the road is ugly.

That was very, very nice of you to help those folks out, where were you when I broke down.

I broke down on my sporty over the summer and I was lucky that my boyfriend happened to leave our house that morning right after me cause if he hadn't I would have been SOL. Not one single person stopped to help me. They didn't even stop to help when they saw my boyfriend pushing me on my bike back home. That was fun. About a mile back to our house pushing me on my bike. Poor guy. Anyway, I will stop everytime I see a stranded biker even though I am a female. I know I hated being stuck there and I would hate to leave someone else stuck.
