Default For highway pegs and mounting brackets...

for a crash bar, where do I look? Too many options here and I am a bit confused. Do I need a kit for mounting brackets, and a peg kit? Thanks. I am possibly thinking of the nostalgiac engine guard...Maybe even black with chrome peg...

harley used to sell black powder coated engine guards.. I have on on my FLSTC - had a little trouble getting the highway pegs to fit because of the extra thickness of the guard due to the powder coating.

I just bought a Lindby bar on eBay for $259 delivered. It's a little more pricey than some but I love the look of it. I have a Fatboy also ('03). The bar retails for about $350 on Lindby (http://www.lindbycustom.com/fr_bar/harley.html)

I'm5'11" and the bar is a little close and I've heard people over 6 foot find that it's too snug. It's not too bad for me and I love the look. Also, the Lindby pegs are a bit pricey. I'm saving up for 'em now.

If you're interested, I can get the ebay store link where I bought mine.

In my personal opinion, the Lindby bars look the best....

I have a lindby bar that the chrome is peeling off of. I took it off a while back. I am still not sure if I should just get it powdercoated or get a whole new setup. Anyone know a good powdercoater. Primo told me of one but that was a long time ago...

Sorry to hear about that. I hope I don't have the same problem but a black powder-coated Lindby bar would look awesome.....

My bike sat a block from the ocean for a while outside when the prior owner owned it, and I have a feeling he didn't clean it very often...
