Default Bates Ormond boots

I really wanted a pair of the HD "Brando" boots, until I did some research and found out that not only were they discontinued, but Harley also got sued over the use of the name Brandow. After doing some more research, I found that Bates made the boots for HD. Bates also makes boots for the military and police forces. The HD Brando is actually the Bates Ormond without the HD shield on the side. I went online and found the best deal on these boots and ordered them. It seams that once you get over a certain size on most boots, they only come in wide widths. I have kinda narrow feet and was very pleased to discover that these come in both regular and wide widths. I got my boots today worried that I would have to return them until I got the size right. Well . . . they fit like a glove. They are very well made and very pliable, not stiff like most heavy leather boots. I am very pleased with them and would recommend them

Thanks for the link, I just got a pair of the copper trail model by Bates today
with free ship from workboots.com. In the first hour of wearing them.
I find they already feel very comfortable, not even broken in. They already seem far better than the HD boots I have.

I noticed the package was shipped by Wolverine, so looked them up on the web, and the google results stated
"USA. Manufacturers of casual and work related footwear. Features various brands offered"

Owned – Bates®, Chaco®, Cushe®, HyTest®, Hush Puppies®, Merrell®,
Sebago®, Soft Style®, Track n’ Trail®, Wolverine®, and Wolverine® Leathers

• Licensed – Cat® Footwear, Harley-Davidson® Footwear, and Patagonia® Footwear

Then I looked at the tags, and really wasn't surprised to see
MADE IN CHINA!!!!

The Wolverine website makes you think they are a USA company selling USA made products,
nothing is mentioned about selling products from China of course.

Thanks Dynamite, I just ordered a pair. I hope they fit true to size. And yes…they are still $109 a pair!
