Default Night Riding Glasses needed

I could use a little help with what to get for night riding. I have a shield, but hate using it for the short night rides on the country roads. I can handle the bugs hitting my face, but not in my eyes. I now use a pair of clear construction glasses that are safety rated, but they are starting to get scratched up.
I looked on line and noticed there are as many pairs of riding glasses as there are bikes on the road today. I figured best place to go is ask the brothers and sisters here what they use and why.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Frank.

Oakley Windjackets and Wiley X's seem to be the most popular.

They seem to be a bit pricy for clear riding glasses don't they?
As far as Oakley, I would not even buy their sunglasses. Don't care for them. My regular sunglasses are Ray Ban at $150 a pair and I keep them in my truck. I have a good pair in my wife's car and on boat and one pair on bike. All those are from $50 and up as well. I don't mind the cost for good sunglasses, but did not think it worth it on clear. I may be thinking wrong here I guess.

What makes a pair of glasses high quality and scratch resistant, the color? You should rethink your buying criteria.

I am inclined to agree with you here as I just said in last post. I may be thinking wrong.

I wear Ray Bans also, but when it is raining, or dark out, the Oakleys go on. They are expensive, but if you treat them halfway decent, they last forever. I'm still wearing M-Frames that double as my shooting glasses at indoor ranges.

Oakleys for me also. I keep a pair with clear lenses in my bags.
