Night Riding Glasses needed
#11
My construction glasses worked just fine for a while and get scratched when trying to clean bugs off. Just thought there were something else out there without breaking the bank. I had a good pair of Winchester glasses for shooting as well and gave them to a friend who eventually lost them.
I guess I could just go back to
Walmart and get another pair of Winchesters.

I'd recommend glasses with a yellow amber tint lens and padding for wind protection. I picked up a pair at a local bike shop for about $15 and they work well at night. The yellow lenses actually make everything look brighter at night and during the day. These lenses are very popular shooting glasses too.

I have used the yellow lens at night but never cared for the color. I don't mind on overcast as Grimace97 stated. I do prefer the clear lens. I like to see things as they really are.
Are the padded glasses worth having?
It seems that the padding would add some extra guard against debris flying into the eyes.

Don't know if you get Davida products over there, but I use these glasses with changeable lenses....work really well in all conditions.

They seem to be a bit pricy for clear riding glasses don't they?
As far as Oakley, I would not even buy their sunglasses. Don't care for them. My regular sunglasses are Ray Ban at $150 a pair and I keep them in my truck. I have a good pair in my wife's car and on boat and one pair on bike. All those are from $50 and up as well. I don't mind the cost for good sunglasses, but did not think it worth it on clear. I may be thinking wrong here I guess.

Second Ray-Ban: Ray-Ban is one of the most over priced sunglasses out there. Just b/c it is a name brand you have known for years does not mean they are good. There are MUCH better lens for the money. Much better styles as well.
PM me if you want to know more.
