Impressive collection and even more so if the toys are buried with the owner!

I am glad there are people like that, they inspire other people, they give you something to reach for. He started a software company, made it successful and sold it for a lot of money, what is wrong with that?

Yep. I have a friend (also rides Harleys) that started with nothing. He is now one of the largest contractors in Los Angeles and makes a nice 7 figure income. I don't envy the guy at all. He earned it just like the guy in the video.

I don't care what the guy does with his money, his money he can spend it how he wants. Hell I don't even care if he "got it the hard way" or won the damned lottery. I just don't get it. I don't see the appeal to have a garage full of newer harleys and never ride them? Knock yourself out buddy but damn if I was uber-rich I'd be jet setting to amazing locations and banging hot chicks. Rent out the bunny ranch for a day and blow through a full bottle of viagra. This guy goes to the HD dealership and buys new harleys and looks at em. Just doesn't seem that thrilling.

But with his excellent business background and if he wanted to look at bikes all the time and such, why not just BUY a dealership? He's gotta be able to afford it. Or like a small shop selling bike stuff where he could hang out all day with bikers?

some people admire art, some admire big game trophies.. this is no different. I want a garage like that when I grow up.

All that money, all the bikes, cars and property and what does he really have? Zilch, nothing, nada. "What is the best thing about having thse bikes" was the question. "Chicks love it" was the answer. Must be a sad and lonely life he's living! Bikes, cars and property do not make up for family and friends.

I saved a Harley from being stuck in a garage. Bought a 2003 FLHTCUI with 2K miles in January, 2011.

Now I have 15k on the bike. And the bike is a little grimy and has a few scratches. But she is happy being used the way God, HD and happy owner intended.

To me the thing that makes an HD an amazing work of art is that it is a rolling work of visual, auditory, and vibration art. Take the rolling, the sound, and the feel of the vibration out, take away the feel of leaning, the wind, the smell of fresh cut grass away and it is a nice looking piece of machinery that has lost it's soul.

Hopefully someday someone will fire up those bikes, and liberate their souls from Purgatory. The problem is that collection will probably become so valuable, nobody will want to ruin their value by riding them, and their souls will stay in limbo. Sad.

(Dont flame me for saying bikes have a soul. I know they don't. But most of you know what I mean)

His earned money, his choice about where to put it.
I know for sure, if I'd have that kind of money, I would definitely have a motorcycle and car collection.
People admire paintings, other motorcycles and cars. They are a form of art, much more enjoyable than paintings IMO.
