It's kind of a gamble buying a seat. You just don't know what it will really feel like until you spend a couple hours in it.
People love their Mustangs; people love their Sundowners.
An advantage to custom is that you can usually get the guy to tweak it for you after a few rides. I had a guy make me a custom seat for an old Yamaha 650 I was bringing back to life. It was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be, and the guy ended up doing two follow-up adjustments. It was a great job. Money well spent.

Only thing I can say NOT to get is a Reduced Reach Seat. That was nearly the death of me on a trip from MA to GA and back. My hubby LOVES Mustangs and has done many long trips on them.

H-D Road Zepplin air seat. You will never have to worry about buying the wrong seat. You can adjust it to your liking over and over and over until you get it just right. Then on really long trips you can re-adjust it to relieve the pressure points again and again.
It's the only way to go.
Sorry, I am assuming you have a touring model. What model do you have.

Whatever you get , pickup a sheepskin too . You will not second guess nor care what anyone else will ever say about it after trip on one . They do make that big a difference in comfort .
