passsenger seat '07 Heritage
well this is kind of embarrassing...
Recently picked up the Heritage (first Harley). My S.O. preferred the thicker passenger seat on the '09 and later models, so at the time of buying the '07 I ordered the later passenger seat. they said it would fit and go on and off easily.
I took the stock passenger seat off quickly, but I can't figure out how to get the later passenger seat tongues to slide under the place behind the drivers seat. I can't get it to slide under there so I can line up the rear screw.
didn't want to whack on it or try to force it, in case there was something I was missing.... or am I dumb?

It doesn't slide under the plate, the two slots/tangs on the bottom front rear seat goes on the two bolts sticking up at the back of the front seat. There is a recess or grove thats cut smaller in those bolts so the tangs slips into.. U don't have to loosen anything, just slide the rear seat on them...
Ur new seat may have so vinyl thats too long so U may have to push some material up or trims a bit off to not interfere with tabs/tangs going on the bolts.. Also U do have to push a little bit to do it..
Also have U seen the touring seat (below), instead of just getting a 09 stock seat.. its a Lot better. bigger and thicker that either stock rear pillion. Wife loves the touring seat.
