Default Which class is right for me?

I am going to take another riding class and not sure if I should go with Basic Rider's Course 2, or Advanced Rider's. I took a beginner's course where you use their little bikes (Rebel 250), and at the end of it you get your license. That was in 1996, and I haven't taken another class since although I have been riding for the past sixteen years. Some years more than others. Spent fifteen years on my Sporty, then last year I moved up to the Road King, and have put about 6,000 miles on it since I got it. I would like to think the Advanced course would be good for me, but wanted to hear any input you guys/gals may have. Thanks.

Maybe it's me ..... or just the way we view things in England but why after 16 years of riding do you need to take more classes of anything to do with riding your bike .... to be honest if you wern't any good by now you'd be a statistic ..... my view is youv'e done your learnin in 16 years save your money ..... medals and diplomas aint gonna save you from a reckless SOB who's either druged up, juiced up,or F$$ked up ......

When I took the BRC they said we'd be ready to take the Advanced class after we had 1000 miles of real road time and as a refresher class if you want to keep your skills sharp. Sounds like you have more than enough experience for the Advanced class.

Cool. Advanced it is. FYI, the class is free, and I am not naive enough to believe I can't learn something.

I think advanced is the right answer as well. My buddy and I took the BRC I in January. He just took BRC II about 3 weeks ago. He immediately regretted not going to the advanced course. He didn't knock BRC II, just thought the advanced would have been a better fit for him. He's got about 7 years of actual riding expirence, dirt/dual sport mostly.

Advanced rider is a good course... But you use your own bike. If you drop it, it's on you.

Definitely the advanced. Especially with moving up to a bigger, heavier bike. Learning how to handle that in an emergency could save your life
