Default Help with my Helmet

OK, this has to be an easy question for the folks with all the miles under there belt.

I have a 2002 Heritage and generally ride with a full face helmet. Sometimes the brain bucketbut not usually. What the heckdo you dowioth your helmet for quick stops. There are times when I do not wish to carry the helmet with me so I balance it on the seat until I get back. This seems a bit silly and very unsecure.

Is there a place to hang the helmet without scratching things? Is there a place to secure it? Maybe a thing to buy?

I know, It is frozen here in the Pacific Northwest and I can't ride so I just can't figure out for myself.

ANY input is greatly appreciated!

They're called helmet locks. They can go anywhere from the engine guards to the handlebars. Somebady on here has got 'em on his engine guards and hangs the helmet on the hiway peg. Looks like it works good. I've been looking into Kuryakins KEW lock that goes on the end of the hand grips.

Usually, I'll fasten the chin strap and hang it on the handle bar. Depends if it's a helmet I care about....if that's the case, I won't let it out of my sight!

Cool, thanks. I'm of to JC Whitney and J&P websites to see what I find.
HOPEFULLY this next week will be in the 40's and I'll get to take her to some shops and look around.

Hifrom Brisbane Australia.

I had one of this chrome helmet locks which was secured to the crash bar on my Heritage and used it all the time. Was a genuine Harley part with security screws attaching it to the bar. I was able to lock Rider and pillion helmets to the bike so it was great, wasn't that expensive either.
Much easier now though just open the tour pack lid throw them in, lock it and away we go !!

Unsecure remedies: I have a skid lid and a full face for extreme cold riding (rarely use it). I put my skid lid on my mirror, my full face I hang on the grip w/ the chin covering area on the grip (hope that makes sense).

I'm from New York, and I just put it on top of the right side mirror, or sometimes on the brake pedal/

I had the HD one on my engine guard. The only drawback is it hanging there and it rains.[:@]It will collect a lot of water in a short amount of time. Luckily it was a really hot day so I didn't mind getting the wet head.

I put the full face on top of the mirror lke the mirror was my head to keep it from falling. I never hang a full face off the bars as I think it is too heavy for this, but I am ****. the brainbucket gets hung off the bars. As far as security get a helmet lock. I rarely wear my full face as I don't have a lock either. But it is freezing here in L.A. so I am working on something new.

I put a helmet lock on the frame down tube above the jiffy stand and lock it on there if I'm going into a store or something and I'll be a while. Otherwise I just stick it on top of the mirror, or even take it in with me. Makes a handy basket for collecting small stuff in a store.
