Conclusions after 13 pages:
Respect The Man.
Be careful around school buses.
Replacing OEM pipes is kind of like a mattress tag violation.
Everything is someone else's fault.
If previous statement fails, blame the government.
George Carlin is missed greatly, he could have wrapped this thread up in one sentence.

Apparently a Florida State Police officer was following me for awhile on my way to work this morning.
He informed me of a couple of things I didn't realize, other than "ALL" police officers don't recognize the official 9 mph over the speed limit grace speed.
First, He was a little upset that I passed a school bus running 45 in a 55 zone and in his estimation, I was going well over 55 mph.
Frankly, If you're not supposed to go over the speed limit when passing in a legal passing zone, then why are there broken lines? I want to get around and back in the right lane asap.
Oh well......
The most disturbing aspect was....Not that my pipes were too loud...Rather my pipes are ILLEGAL because "any alteration of basic stock exhaust is illegal in the state of Florida.
I remarked, well, there are alot of dealers and shpps in Florida that sell illegal products. He then says...You can buy guns too but that doesn't mean you can go out and shoot people.
Wow.
I didn't realize aftermarket pipes were illegal.
I also didn't realize that the federal government can FORCE you to buy a federal product or service.
But, that's what this country is coming to.I believe we're headed for a violent and ugly future.

Ha...Ha...Loud sucks?
For who?
Hell...For the one fn' thousandt time....It was the LOUDNESS of the pipes Barney was all up in arms about..It was the AFTERMARKET variety that he didn't like.
Although...My pipes are fairly loud,when I open the throttle.
Personally, I like the way they sound.
That's the thing here, they're MY PIPES....I F'N BOUGHT THEM.
