I live in unincorporated Lockport Township between Joliet and Plainfield I need a couple tires and some brake pads put on my DYNA (already have tires and pads), but my shoulders are all phucked up and I do not want to do the work because of the pain. I know how to do it, and would be more than happy to sit with you in the garage and walk you through the work. Hell - I'll even privide a few beers for AFTER the work is done.

He does not HAVE to drink the beers for me. I could drink them all by myself, but if he wants a few, they'll be here and they will be nicely chilled. I have all the necessary tools and a decent jack and the knowledge to get the job done. All I need is a couple strong arms. Like I said, my shoulders are FUBAR.

Its just the experience I am after. There are no motorcyle tech schools in Chicago, so I figured I would offer my time to a shop to help with whatever they need. In exchange I would be gaining invaluable info. I think it's a win win for both parties involved.

It's almost impossible to ask a shop to pay you when you have no motorcycle experience.

I also don't see how this is "wierd". How else am I suppose to learn? There is only so much I can do to MY sportster. I figured diving right in with a hands on approach would help with the learning curve. I figured I would be a liability at first, but observing is a good way of learning!
