LOL - you don't really believe Harley parts are some great quality over after-market parts, do you? If so I have a bridge in Arizona I would like to sell you....
And i have ocean front property in arizona. Right next to that bridge.
After leaving my dealer this afternoon I wondered if Harley isn't worse than a hooker. I left with 4 screws #2441 for $8.41. That's over $2 a screw. Well I guess that answers the question. A good hooker would probably be $12 or $15.
So you haven't been to a good hooker since you got home from WW II?
I thought Harley was high on that stuff...until I went to a local hardware store for some nuts and bolts to relocate my turn signals. Turns out, I should have gone to Harley, because I paid $25 for a tiny bag with some 5/16 chromes bolts, 2 chrome acorn nuts and a few other chrome nuts and washers. This whole bag would fit in the pocket of a pocket T-shirt. The price was more like $3 a bolt when you get the chrome stuff.

And I have...actually compared the Harley stuff to the after-market stuff. Some aftermarket stuff is good, but Harley is as good as the best of it and better than most. If I buy something with an HD brand on it, I don't have to wonder if it's really going to fit/work/last. My bike has a load of parts that weren't original to it, but it's all HD except for the seat.
