Depends on the chapter - have a great chapter here in Chandler, AZ. Great bunch of guys to ride with. Worth being a member.

The Riverside Chapter out here seems like they do some cool rides. I think they have a big membership, but it seems like most of them are older retired guys. I'm only in my mid 30's so not real sure how the wife and I would fit in....plus I work on weekends which would make membership pointless. You are going to hear guys talking **** about hog, but screw em....it is what you make out of it. Yeah there are probably some wanna-be types involved, but for every one of them you will probably meet 2 or 3 cool people.

I hope you get something out of it......just ease up on the all-you-can-eat buffet hahahah

Don't give up on that chapter. "Older retired guys" means they're available for weekday rides as much as weekend rides. And the riding can be pretty nice as there is less traffic during the week. I'm in the same boat as far as days off.

I didn't think of it that way. You've got a good point there.

Not sure I think of HOG as a "club".

not a club, its a Group.

Either way, some Hog chapters are very cool, others not so. You get out of it what you put it like anything else.

enjoy!
