Tire leaking down

Tire leaking down
My rear tire apparently has a slow leak. I pump it up to 38 and it leaks down to 25 in a couple of days time and more or less stabilizes. Any recommendations for an easy fix? I'm leaving on a fairly long trip on Friday..

Same thing is happening with my front tire. Changed the valve stem the other day and its still leaking. Looked all over where the leak may be coming from but found nothing. The tires are fairly new...going to have it checked out this weekend.

Pump it up a bit higher than normal an gently spray the valve stem, then the bead region on each side and lastly the tread all the way around with a soapy water mix.
Even the smallest leak will make a bubble and you'll know right where it is and thus what needs to be corrected.
I use a dollop of dish soap mixed with water in a leftover windex bottle. You have to spray it very lightly and gently to ally a slick film rather than a foamy shot with each squirt. The higher the soap concentration in your mix, the easier a bubble will form at the leak site.
You could also mix the soapy water in a shallow pan and gently brush it on with a paint brush.

Cast wheels from all manufactures tend to develope bead leaks over time. As ckal stated spray it down with soapy water. If the bead is leaking green slime works very well to eliminate the bead leaks. But you have to break the tire down and clean the rim good.

Fix-a-flat will ruin a cast wheel it is highly corrosive.
