Wrenching on My Bike
I love wrenching on my bike. Makes me feel proud what I can do myself.
Just yesterday I noticed I was missing a nut on a saddlebag latch.
I put a new high-performance self threading nut on the bolt and snugged her down. Cleaned my tools and went inside for a pop. Screw the dealer.

I totally agree. I'm a novice at best at working on my own bike, but I just did the 30k check-up myself. I spent less than $100 on the fluids and filters needed, while the dealer wanted several hundred for the service. All you need is a good torque wrence, a service manual, and patience and you're good.
