I did not install those monster cams. They were in the motor when I got it. 408 6 I think. 650 lift. Crazy. Just got done installing my 255 cams in there. Much better. Gonna give up some power, but I cannot put up with overhead racket!

Retune, with the 255 cams. Gave up some top end power, but actually gained some torque down low. Engine sounds real nice now. Think I will leave it alone for now.

I have woods cams in my 106. The noise wasn't an issue during break in with pennzoil 20w-50. I drained that and put in mobil 1 v-twin,then the noise was like a can of marbles. Drove me nuts. I drained the mobil 1 at 1000 miles and put in royal purple 20w-50 and the valvetrain noise is almost unnoticeable.
Mobil 1 may be great stuff but so far royal purple is winning the noise game.

Did you keep the Wood 408-6 cams? How many miles we they run? Are you looking to sell them? If so how much? Thanks

I still have them. I might be willing to trade them for 555 or 777 woods.
