Default Severe Tendonitis!

Tendonitis in my left arm/elbow has been kicking my *** for a couple of weeks. I tried taking a ride Saturday and barely made it home. Pulling the clutch lever was nearly impossible at the end of the ride.
Thinking about a foot clutch/jockey shift if I can't get this under control.

Anyone else deal with this?

No, but if you're not on blood thinners & your stomach is in good shape
try some ibuprofen or naproxen sodium.

try hydrotherapy, hot and cold water dips... called contrast baths. study proper water temps for max benefit.
also a neoprene wrap will keep the area warm and moving.
eat less oily food, and try omega3.
my brother the rockclimber used to get this ad from overworking one set of muscles and not the others. a therapist made him do exercises that were the opposite of holding on.
hope that helps.

They sell a velcro wrap that u put around your arm just past elbow on the fore arm. It supports and changes the way the tendon works, allowing it to heal.
Also vitamin D suppliments.

Go see a sports massage therapist. The older you get your muscles, ligaments and tendons get knotted up and don't bounce back like in your younger years. Massage and glucosamine have become a bigger part of my life the older I get. I would be crippled without it.

I had tennis elbow, and golf elbow. Every time I worked out it would flare up. even if I took a few months off. I bought some elbow braces in the store, and they helped. But I didn't get rid of it until a sports doctor gave me a Band-it.

I use it every time I work out. Of course some guys on here, who know nothing about it, will probably come on here and call it a crutch. I'll stick with my doctor's advice and 3 years of experience.

Deep tissue massage will bring near immediate relief. But take a hard look at what is actually causing it; it is likely due to chronic stress of those tendons from overwork or spasm. Use an anti-inflamatory (ibuprofen).

I got it peeling friggin potatoes on Thanksgiving in my right arm. It is much better but still not completly gone. It even woke me up at night it hurt so bad. I know what you're going through and it sucks. Good luck with your healing!
