Default leather

anything other than leather jacket/chaps that will help if you go down? road rash and all that stuff. I dont like wearing leather thinking of wearing other items but dont know what else is out there that will keep me warm and lessen the road rash, got to buy all my winter stuff during the summer so its cheaper.

Lots of stuff in Aerostitch that will protect better than leather and some of it is very comfortable riding in.

Good leather is one of the best forms of protection especially if armor is added at critical points like shoulders, knees, etc. There are many good textile outfits, I have 2 pair of Tourmaster textile pants, that offer excellent protection and are better in the really cold.

Add decent gloves and a good quality FF helmet and you have decent sliding/impact protection

Teflon!
During my working career, I heard some say I was teflon coated, as in "**** doesn't stick to him".
I was never sure if that was an insult or complement.
