RE: Doing a 96 to 103 build
Part combination look good. Consider getting the jugs and heads diamond cut while you are at it. It takes about 6 weeks turnaround, and about $500, but DAMN!!! it's worth it!!! It really makes the motor stand out. And if you add lights, and night it really comes alive.

RE: Doing a 96 to 103 build
Right now with me being retired , I'm just gonna get the money together for the 103 build. Thanks for the infor oh. Everybody has kinda got me concerned about the forged pistons. I see the facts on the SE257 call for forged. And the compression is too high at 10.5:1 ...I was told the life of the bike will be cut way down. I should have a compression release installed, he has this on his bike and said he hasn't had problems with the compression or starter., I was told about longer warm ups, how much longer ? I was told around 100 hp and like 105ft lbs of torque. Should I make them come up with a different build and run cast pistons with less Hp.. This old boy is in his 50's used to race harleys and works at a small dealership.
