Some auto parts stores stock a black oil filter for the H-D's.
Make sure that you geta filter for the Evolution engine, NOT the Twin Cam.
As for oils, I've always (mostly for warranty) H-D products.
My main road bike is 2000 Ultra so it's always used the regular (non-synthetic) 20w-50w.
Other oil suppliers have similar weight but make sure whatever you buy is designated for a V-Twin, air cooled engine.
My buddy uses Mobil-1 in his H-D trike.
Some of the newer bikes use the "three hole" oil but I'm old fashioned and I use the H-D products as recommended in the owners manual with the exception of my transmission which is an aftermarket Baker DD6 and they recommend Red Line for it.
H-D also makes a special oil drain funnel/hose for removing the oil filter but you'll still need a low drain pan and plenty of rags/towels for clean up.
Also, you will need to "o" rings for the drain plugs and some teflon plumbers tape for the primary case plug.

I use either Drag Specialties or Rev-Tec primary fluid and for engine oil I use an automotive 20-50 race oil, usually Valvoline VR-1 not the synthetic. All of the oils I mentioned are easily found and reasonably priced.
