Well its sounds like you have had a F*%&ing s*&%ty experance with some military MCs. This is one of the reasons that WE are looking into starting our own. I can assure you that we are not the same typical bunch that you have run into before. We work on our own bikes, as well ride long distances, we just love haning out with like minded individuals and want to do something more. I can respect that you are not into that.

For christs sake, you guys(thanks for your service) come on a forum and ask a question and then bitch about others answering or giving there opinions. Maybe you should just join the local girl scout club.

Harleylew - I don't understand, i actually appriciated what you had to say and you quated my post, but I didn't say anything to you or about you, other than I hoped you could shed some light on the GKMC stand on AMA and other details. Whatever, if I offended you imparticular, it was not on purpose. Driving on.

Garand - I get where you are coming from. I hope to focus more on the Brotherhood and riding, than the politics and small ****.

Im sorry but i got to say this!!! This ask for permission to start a club stuff is bulls#$t!! Guys want to start a club so be it! Especially if they are active military! Your going to tell me that guys come home from war and want to start a MC and they have to ask permission??? They just put there lives on the line for everyone in this country to be free and be able to start an MC or do what ever they want and we got to ask permission? Who the f@%ck did HA ask permission from back in 1948 or any other club back then for that matter? Ya ya ya i know got to pay respect! Didnt we earn respect for serving our country? In no way do i want to start a club but when i hear crap like this it pisses me off!

This thread sure went downhill fast.

To the OP. When you post something like this in an open forum, expect a broad range of replies. And expect some opinions that you don't particularly like. It goes woth the territory. But leave the attitudes behind. You're not the only two people to serve overseas and face difficulties. in fact, you'll find most of the members here, and in MCs are veterans.

OK! look I didn't mean to set everyone off. My intent wasn't to get everyones undies in a twist (madchad - thank you)

I guess I just have a pet peeve of getting answers to questions I didn't ask, or responses that do not hit the original topic that's all.

Example -
If we say we are starting our own club, I do not want to join yours or another. I and my fellow like minded riders have looked around and want to go another direction.
if we say we are in contact with the Clubs in the area, we do not need to be told to do so.
And yes I am a bit of a smarta$$, sorry.
And not to split hairs but HarleyLew, in your first post you said "You can start your own Chapter, we're chapter 27!"then you got defensive or whatever and said "I'm in the GK, don't run it, nor was I saying join it!" - If you can't keep up , sit out! lol.
Again, to all of those who took the time to read and understand our questions and concernes and gave thoughtful and on point advice, THANK YOU!
And to those, who just skim and fire back with a childs understanding of the topic at hand, well you just feed the fire that keeps this "smart a$$ "going.

Come on man - didn't the military teach you something (respect/discipline) & as other members mentioned (huge forum = many responses) so keep the feedback civil & you'll get supportive information. Sending flaming darts back & targeting specific members (no matter how they respond) will take this thread down...hard/fast.

Danny - I do not mind others opinions at all! And if I came across that way I did not mean too. What peeves me is people posting off topic. And i believe there IS a difference. Think all MCs are awesome! Fine. Gay. Fine too. But we started this looking for some specifics we were having issues with getting while over here, and hope to move about this as "correct" as possibe. Anyone can feel free to start a "Join My Myspace MC now! Thread" or a "these are clubs to check out" - Thread" or "why all MCs should burn - Thread" Whatever. We started THIS one looking for certain things and were hoping to stay on topic which has as pointed out by a very smart Danny, gone down hill and off topic rather quickly.
Wait, WTF Danny?! Do you not think I realize there are others serving our country?! And in far FAR worse places than I? Screw you dude. And my attitude is mine. I developed it to a fine point. if you do not like it that is your opinion, but you cannot tell me to leave it behind as that is my RIGHT. And I don't think me or my buddy were looking for special treatment, we just lack the oppertunity to make the calls to the states and time to track down the info we needed so we came to the good folks here to see if anyone could help.
