Default Navigation system that doesn't cost an arm and leg for a bike.

Can anyone recommend a decent bike nav system that doesn't cost $600.00.

Garmin Nuvi 255WT - less than $150 and has been working fine on my 08 SG for the last 2 years.

iPhone. Most people have them anyway and the nav feature works very well. Some apps have talking directions so all you need to do is plug the headphone jack into your aux input and you had turn by turn directions.

I have a cheaper model Garmin that I've had for several years. It's a little hard to see in direct sunlight, but at about $150, it's far cheaper than the $600 units that are made for a motorcycle. Also, it's not waterproof. But I don't ride in the rain, so that's not a big deal. If you can deal with both those issues, that's the way to go. I've got mine mounted to the handlebars with a RAM mount and it's very sturdy.

If you do much interstate travel, be sure to get the Junction View feature.

You can get refurbished Garmin units for a good price, add a Ram mount and you're good to go.
