Walmart has plenty of Nuvi models for under $100. I just saw 3 between $65 and $109 that were new and had lifetime map updates (they also have factory refurbished ones). One map update can cost more than a GPS, so that is a pretty big deal.

Like many people have already said, a map won't do what a GPS does. My GPS will tell me what businesses are in the area, how to get there and a phone number, where I can eat, by type of food, where the closest gas station is, when I hit the "reserve" and lots of other things that maps don't have.

I don't usually use one on a motorcycle, but I'm meaning to get one for it.
