I use an outdated el-cheapo Garmin, tucked into a tool bag on the bars. It's actually my speedometer/tripmeter as I chunked the speedo when I went thru the bike a couple years ago. It's plugged into a power port I got from Wally and wired to the ignition switch. rain ain't a problem - just close the flap on the tool bag.

A Garmin 1350 from Amazon for 120 bucks. Ram mount and a ziplock for that wet stuff. Screw those high prices. Had ogged over 60,000 mile and no problem with it.

I picked up this Magellan under $100 about 2 years ago on Amazon. The pouch is magnetic and waterproof.
