Default Which EFI tuner?

forgive me if I missed it, but I searched but didn't find any comparison on the different EFI tuners.

right now I am just running slip ons, I picked up Ness Big Sucker last week, now I need to get anEFI tuner so I can install the new A/C andcomplete the stage 1 on my 2006 Roadglide... I would likesomething that I can install/tune myself and something that is adaptable for future mods if I decide to go bigbore/cams/etc down the road, so the HD reflash is out for me.

Looked at the TFI unit, Powercommander, and the unit from Zippers that replaces the whole ECM. Does anyone have any comments on one vs the other of these? Any other units I should consider? I am on a budget, the Zippers is prolly the best but also more that I wanted to spend if I don't have to...

I am kind of leaning toward the powercommander, it appears to have more tuneability, but this is my 1st experience with EFI so I could be way off on what I think is right...

I have no problem wrenching my own ride and am semi-computer literate so none of these units scare me as far as the install/adjustment go.

thanks in advance for any advice...

Do a search for "PCIII" or "SERT". I guarantee you'll find em'!

I got a PCIII. I like it and it's simple. Some like the SERT as you can directly program the ECM. As for me, I don't need a gazillion settings I have to adjust and I don't plan on having the bike dynoed so the PCIII is for me. If you are a control freak, the SERT is for you. Go to this website for a really good unbiased review of all EFI tuners:

There's also a lot of other good info there. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Also search for SERF.... ordered mine and waiting... if you dont have to time your bike this might be the solution for $175.... there is a thread by rharrison in the sportster section on the race fueler...

Check these folks out, My friend that has a shop swears by this tuner. He's been using it for years. They offer a 30 day money back warranty. Bet you don't send it back

Its a good system, but it needs the Auto Tune add on to be really good. Because the Auto Tuner uses two wide band O2 sensors as a feed back loop for it.

I put the TFI on my 06 Roadglide and it solved my problems.
Best bang for the buck if you are on a budget.

Same here. I may go to a PCIII some day and if I do I should have no problem getting my money back out of the DFO. I got lucky and bought one off ebay for $60 delivered.
