Spend the money (150 - 200) on a nice pair of boots. Once their good and broke in they will feel better than anything else you've ever had you feet in. I personally prefer daner recon's. Boots from Walmart are not nice boots.

 

Currently wearing some old lace-up steel shank & toe work boots They are full insulated which helps keeps engine heat off feet. Need to replace them this year. If money was no object, I'd pick the custom-made Russell Moccasins. Their factory is in central WI, visited the place a couple years ago. Good American company

I either wear some zip up boots I bought at the dealer (I like them - but the soles are / were paper thin and need replaced) or a pair of lace up Doc Martin hiking style boots. I've only worn flip flops ONCE :-) and that was because I was in the pool and out of smokes.

 

I wear motorcycle boots for reach purposes, but I keep my regular bates side zip in the tour pak this way if I'm gonna do some walking I change.

 

I only wear official biker boots.

 

Shoes, boots, underwear, women.
I give the same advice for all: Find what fits and is comfortable.
ONLY you can do that....

OK. Most of the time riding boots especially on long rides.. Sometimes tennis shoes. But I have been seen in flip flops on short quick trips near the house. I know I shouldnt but hey.......look at where I live and my screen name.

 

Love my 6" traditional Timberland's!!! Own a few pair. Also love not lacing them so I hope they stay on when I need them to. Been wanting a pair of Doc Martins for a long time. I miss my old Frye harness boots. Yes, I love my Hi-top Vans, I try to avoid wearing them on the bike but sometimes ya just can't help it. One of my hi-top Vans are leather but I'm not convinced they'll stand up to too much grinding on asphalt.

As far as boots being uncomfortable. You either have bad boots or you need to get used to it.
