Two pair of Skechers - low cut top but covers the ankle, easy on and off and great to walk around in.

 

Wear a pair of Red Wing lace up riding boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever had and felt like they were broken in the first time I put them on.

 

I wear lace up Red Wings that I modified to zip up the middle. I like 'em 'cause they have HUGE heels and help me flat foot it. They were about $200 but look like they'll last forever especially because I also applied this rubber toe protector kit that Red Wing offers as they were wearing out from up shifting and that solved that problem.

 

Yeah! What he said! You forget they're on your feet........until it rains and you notice your feet are still dry! Note: order 1/2 size larger than you usually wear but no worries they WILL exchange them!

Sketchers.. tough to find sneakers with a "Wide" size...
HOWEVER, I'm very pleased to find out HD Boots all seem to have wides available!!! I JUST received my pair of "Virgos" in the mail today. Got 'em from some guy on eBay who knocked the price down to $75 with shipping... brand spanking new in the box and they fit just wonderfully. Wondering what shifting is going to be like in these clunkers.

Anyway, didn't see "Virgo" boots on the HD website... I guess these are a discontinued design? Regardless, I'm pleased.
