I just got in my Timberland Chocorua Hiker boots today (pictured left). Holy comfort Batman! These boots feel great. They are half the weight of the old Herman Survivors (pictured right) I have. They're Gore-Tex lined and light as a feather. No break in needed. I just hope they hold up as well as my other boots that are over 10 years old. My old Navy boots were ok and well worn. But not this comfortable and I don't have them anymore anyway. If these Timberland boots are somewhat durable, they're more than worth it.

Red Wing 607. Sturdy. Wouldn't want to go sight seeing in them. Would like to find a boot that is protective enough for riding and comfortable enough for walking.

Start looking at hikers. My Lowas are FANTASTIC. I can ride 200 miles and walk 10 in them and if anything hurts, it dang sure ain't my feet.

Great idea! Can u post pics and a how-to?
I have 6' RW lace-ups also.

Check out my Timberland Hikers I posted a few posts above. They're really comfortable.
